Abstract
Lysimachia daqiaoensis, a new species of Primulaceae endemic to a limestone cave in northern Guangdong, China, is described and illustrated. It is most similar to L. rupestris in having rosette leaves and being glabrous all over the plant, but it differs from the latter by absence (vs. presence) of stolon, flowers in racemose and solitary (vs. solitary only), and anthers shorter and dorsifixed with opening by lateral slits (vs. longer and basifixed with opening by apical pores).

Lysimachia daqiaoensis G.D.Tang & R.Z.Huang, sp. nov.
Diagnosis:— Lysimachia daqiaoensis is similar to L. rupestris F.H.Chen & C.M.Hu (1979: 40) in having rosette leaves and being glabrous all the plants, but the former has no stolons, racemose inflorescences and solitary flowers, longer filaments (ca. 5 mm), and shorter(ca. 0.8 mm) and dorsifixed anthers opening by lateral slits, while the latter has obvious stolons, solitary flowers only, shorter filaments (ca. 1 mm ), and longer (4–5 mm) and basifixed anthers opening by apical pores (5)
Distribution:— Lysimachia daqiaoensis is only found from the type locality in Daqiao Town, Ruyuan County,Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, China.
Habitat:— Lysimachia daqiaoensis was observed to grow on limestone walls of a wet cave at an elevation of ca.480 m.
