Abstract 
A taxonomic revision of Nymphoides (Menyanthaceae) in Thailand was undertaken using cytogenetics and morphology. Specimens were collected throughout Thailand. Cytogenetic analyses were conducted on living collections. The morphological characters used in the descriptions of all taxa were measured from living specimens, which were subsequently maintained for ex-situ conservation. We provide a new generic description, a key to species, and descriptions of all species. Line drawings are provided for the five new species and color photographic illustrations are provided for all taxa. Herbarium voucher specimens were prepared and deposited in Thai herbaria. Ten species are recognized in Thailand, including five new species described in the present study for the first time, namely Nymphoides chumphonense, N. crucioides, N. miniata, N. thailandica and N. thungyaiense. Cytogenetic evidence supports the proposed species boundaries of Thai Nymphoides.

Abstract
Based on the molecular phylogenetic analyses of six plastid DNA regions (matK and rbcL exons; trnL intron; atpB-rbcL, psbA-trnH and trnL-trnF intergenic spacers) and including 57 samples of Pseuduvaria, as well as thorough morphological studies, Pseuduvaria sirindhorniana (Annonaceae, Miliuseae) is described and illustrated here as a new species from Narathiwat, southern Thailand. The new species belongs to a major clade that also includes P. fragrans, P. gardneri, P. glossopetala, P. kwangtungensis, P. multiovulata and P. phuyensis. Pseuduvaria sirindhorniana is morphologically most similar to P. glossopetala, but differs by having basally connate (vs. free) sepals, larger petals, elliptic-ovate (vs. obovate) outer petals, inner petals that are only connivent at the apex (vs. connivent from the base to ± the midpoint and at the apex), with openings formed from the base (vs. openings formed from ± the midpoint). Pseuduvaria kwangtungensis turns out to be a putative sister of the new species, but the two are morphologically dissimilar in several traits, such as leaf base, inner petal appearance and glands on the inner side of the inner petals.

 Pseuduvaria sirindhorniana differs from the morphologically most similar species, P. glossopetala, by having basally connate (vs. free) sepals, larger petals, elliptic-ovate (vs. obovate) outer petals, inner petals that are only connivent at the apex (vs. connivent at the apex and from the base to ± the midpoint), with openings formed from the base (vs. openings formed from ± the midpoint). 

Etymology — The specific epithet honours H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand, who has continuously supported the study of plant taxonomy in Thailand and worldwide, on the auspicious occasion of her 72nd (6th cycle) birthday anniversary (2 April 2027). She has also been instrumental in establishing the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative (RSPG), which aims to train personnel and develop plant genetic resources for the conservation of plant diversity, with benefits extending to farmers and related sectors of the country.

Abstract
The new species Henckelia moniliformis (Gesneriaceae) is described from North-Eastern Thailand. A key to the species of Henckelia in Thailand is provided, along with illustrations, notes on the ecology and the IUCN conservation status of the new species.

Henckelia moniliformis Sirim. sp. nov.

This new species is allied to Henckelia amplexifolia and H. nakianensis in having a campanulate corolla tube which is less than 1 cm long, but differs in having one caducous bract (two persistent bracts in H. amplexifolia and H. nakianensis), two flowers per inflorescence (vs mostly more than two flowers per inflorescence), calyx persistent (vs calyx caducous), two lobes of upper lip hooded (vs two lobes of upper lip straight), anthers with dense moniliform hairs only on the lower half (vs anthers glabrous), staminodes apparently lacking (vs present) and orthocarpic fruit (vs  plagiocarpic  fruit).  It  also  differs  from  H. amplexifolia in having a caulescent habit (acaulescent in H. amplexifolia) and lacking stolons (present in H. amplexifolia) and differs from H. nakianensis in having more than one leaf (only one leaf in H. nakianensis) and the curved filaments (filaments straight in H. nakianensis)

Abstract 
Based on molecular phylogenetic analyses using seven plastid DNA markers (matK, rbcL, ndhF and ycf1 exons; trnL intron; psbA-trnH and trnL-trnF intergenic spacers) and detailed morphological investigations, five new species of Polyalthia Blume (Annonaceae Juss.) from Thailand are recognized, described and illustrated. These species are: Polyalthia acuminatissima Wiya, Damth. & Chaowasku sp. nov. (from Nakhon Phanom Province, northeastern region), P. esanensis Wiya, Damth. & Chaowasku sp. nov. (from eastern and northeastern regions), P. chiangmaica Wiya, Damth. & Chaowasku sp. nov. (from Chiang Mai Province, northern region), P. maxwelliana Wiya, Chanthamrong & Chaowasku sp. nov. and P. miliusifolia Wiya, Chanthamrong & Chaowasku sp. nov. (both from Kanchanaburi Province, southwestern region). All five species belong to one of the three major clades within the genus. Three of them (P. acuminatissima, P. esanensis and P. chiangmaica) were previously misidentified as P. evecta (Pierre) Finet & Gagnep., which is polyphyletic. Comparisons with their phylogenetically related or morphologically similar species are provided and a key to the species of this major clade occurring in Thailand is included. The conservation status of all five new species is provisionally assessed as Data Deficient.

Abstract
Asplenium paucipinnatum, a new fern species from Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, is described. Morphologically, it closely resembles A. micantifrons in having short-creeping and radial rhizome steles, 1-pinnate laminae, deeply incised pinnae on the basiscopic margin, and sori arranged in two rows close to the costae. However, A. paucipinnatum is readily distinguished by having fewer lateral pinnae (< 14 pairs), obliquely rhombic pinnae with acute apices and obtuse marginal teeth, contrasting the more numerous pinnae (> 15 pairs), lanceolate pinnae with acuminate apices, and acute teeth in A. micantifrons. Phylogenetic analyses based on multiple plastid DNA regions (atpB, rbcL, rps4, rps4-trnS, trnL, and trnL-F) support A. paucipinnatum as a distinct lineage, forming a sister relationship with a clade containing A. lepturus and A. contiguum. The combination of morphological and molecular evidence supports the recognition of this new taxon. Ecological notes, geographic distribution, and a comparison with related species are also provided.

Description. Asplenium paucipinnatum resembles A. micantifrons (Tuyama) Tuyama ex H.Ohba by its short creeping and radial rhizomes, 1-pinnate laminae, pinnae deeply incised at basiscopic side of margin, and sori borne in 2 rows closely set along to the costa, but the former has lateral pinnae fewer than 14 pairs, pinnae oblique rhombic, pinna apex acute, and marginal teeth obtuse. In contrast, A. micantifrons has lateral pinnae more than 15 pairs, pinnae lanceolate, pinna apex acuminate, and marginal teeth acute.

 ABSTRACT
Lobophora (Dictyotales, Phaeophyceae) is an ecologically important seaweed genus in tropical and subtropical marine ecosystems. This alga exhibits cryptic diversity and morphological plasticity, which require taxonomic delineations that primarily depend on DNA analyses, complemented by morphological and ecological data. Species diversity and distribution within Southeast Asia remain understudied compared to well-documented regions such as the Caribbean and the western Pacific. This study provides a comprehensive assessment of the genus Lobophora along the east coast of Thailand, integrating DNA-based surveys with morphological analyses. Extensive sampling across the Gulf of Thailand revealed 14 well-supported monophyletic clades of Lobophora. Among these, we described four new species (L. lewmanomontiae sp. nov., L. ogawae sp. nov., L. thiemmedhii sp. nov., and L. velasquezii sp. nov.) and reported three new national records (L. abscondita, L. henae, and L. quangtriensis), thereby bringing the Thai total to 21 species. When combined with previous records, 30 species have now been recorded from Southeast Asia, with 12 of which are endemic to the region. This study also emphasizes the importance of extensive sampling across broader areas, which enhances our understanding of biogeographic distributions and their implications for coastal ecosystem management.

Abstract
Nymphanthus belliflorus, a newly described species from the northeastern part of Thailand, is the most similar to N. chantaranothaii, N. glaucescens and N. huamotensis in having staminate flowers with four sepals bearing long-fimbriate margins and the pistillate flowers composed of 5–6 sepals with long-fimbriate margins. However, it is distinguished by its swollen stem base, young branchlets that are glabrous, disc glands of staminate flowers that are obdeltoid and yellow-reddish in color, long pedicel of pistillate flowers (3.2–4.8 cm long) and fruits (3.5–5.5 cm long). The description, distribution, ecological information and provisional conservation status are provided.

Nymphanthus belliflorus P. Sukkharom, Chantar. & Pornp., sp. nov. 

Diagnosis. Nymphanthus belliflorus is distinguished from other species of Nymphanthus by a combination of swollen stem base, long-fimbriate sepal margins in both staminate and pistillate flowers, obdeltoid, yellow to reddish disc glands in staminate flowers, and long pedicels in pistillate flowers and fruits (3.2–4.8 cm long and 3.5–5.5 cm long, respectively).

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the beautiful flowers of this species.
Vernacular name. Wan thorani san lek (proposed here).

Distribution. Khon Kaen and Sakon Nakhon Provinces in the northeast of Thailand.

Ecology. Nymphanthus belliflorus grows on sandy soil with organic matter found in the ecotone between mixed deciduous and dry dipterocarp forest, at 240–285 m elevation.

Abstract
Colocasia sookchaloemiae (Araceae) is described from Phu Pha Yol National Park (northeastern Thailand). It is morphologically similar to C. fallax, from which it differs in having seasonal dormancy (vs. evergreen), broader and non-glaucous laminae (vs. narrower and slightly glaucous beneath), a speckled green ovary (vs. mostly green), a convex stigma with a depressed center (vs. 3-lobed), a sparsely hairy sterile interstice (vs. glabrous), and a thicker stipitate appendix (vs. slender, often sessile, or shortly stipitate). A comparative study of living plants, cultivated specimens, and herbarium material (including types) supports its recognition as a distinct species. The new taxon grows on rocky cliffs in dry dipterocarp and mixed deciduous forests at 350–400 m a.s.l., and it is currently known from Mukdahan and Sakon Nakhon provinces. A preliminary IUCN assessment indicates that the species is Data Deficient (DD).

Diagnosis. Colocasia sookchaloemiae differs from C. fallax in having seasonal dormancy (vs. evergreen); broader (11–25 cm) and non-glaucous lamina [vs. narrower (3.5–15 cm) and slightly glaucous beneath]; larger (2.3–3.1 mm in diameter), speckled green ovary and a convex stigma with a depressed center [vs. smaller ovary (ca. 1.1 mm in diameter), stigma 3-lobed]; pistillate zone with basal rows of pistillodes (vs. rows of nail-/peg-like staminodes); sterile interstice and staminate zone sparsely hairy (vs. glabrous); sterile interstice shape cylindrical and slightly constricted (vs. tapering); appendix thicker, ivory, and clearly stipitate (vs. slender, often sessile/shortly stipitate, creamy-yellow to purple). Tarenna khoonmengiana Junhao Chen & Y.H.Cheah, sp. nov.

Similar to Tarenna stellulata (Hook.f.) Ridl. and Tarenna insularis (Ridl.) Ridl. in having corolla lobe tips that are divergent in the bud, but differing from the former in the glabrous lower leaf lamina surface that is smooth to the touch (vs minute erect hairy lower leaf lamina surface that is rough to the touch), glabrous (vs conspicuously ciliate) corolla lobe margins and acute (vs awl-like) corolla lobe apex, and differing from the latter in the broadly triangular (vs linear) calyx lobes 0.5–1 mm long (vs 1.5–3 mm long) and glabrous (vs densely short-puberulent) corolla outer surface in bud.

Abstract
Argyreia elegans Traiperm, Tetsana & Chitchak, sp. nov., from northern Thailand is described and illustrated. The new species resembles A. kerrii Craib but differs in terms of having lanceolate to oblong leaves, up to two inflorescences (each bearing 1–3 flowers emerging from an axillary bud), and outer sepals that are densely velvety-pubescent on the abaxial side. A detailed description, an updated key to the species for the Flora of Thailand, as well as anatomical, micromorphological, and taxonomic notes are provided.

Diagnosis. Similar to Argyreia kerrii in having a purple tubular-funnelform corolla, but differs in its lanceolate to oblong leaf shape (versus ovate or broadly ovate), 1–2 inflorescences emerging from an axillary bud (versus strictly 1 inflorescence), and inflorescences containing 1–3 flowers (versus several flowers); outer sepals densely velvet pubescence abaxially (versus abaxial side appressed pilose medially or glabrous).

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the beautiful flower with its perfectly shaped and eye-catching colored corolla.
Vernacular name. Phu Muang Dissakul (āļžู่āļĄ่āļ§āļ‡āļ”ิāļŠāļŠāļุāļĨ); the name is given by the authors to honor Mr. Dissakul Thammasanukul, the former Chief of the Om Koi Wildlife Sanctuary.
