Abstract

Kasetsartra, gen. nov., is described from Thailand based on the type species, Kasetsartra fasciaura, sp. nov. Kasetsartra is characterized by a unique wing pattern, a conspicuous uncus in the male genitalia, and a dorsally expanded corpus bursae in the female genitalia. Adults, wing venation, and genitalia are illustrated, and their structure suggests a position in the tribe Enarmoniini.

Kasetsartra Pinkaew, gen. nov. 

Type species: Kasetsartra fasciaura, sp. nov. 

Diagnosis: The new genus is characterized in the forewing by a deep notch below the strongly projecting apex; in forewing venation by three distinct transverse fascia of slightly raised, metallic golden scales; and by the very unusual course of the M−stem to between M1 and M2, R3 closely approximated basally and parallel to the stalk of R4 and R5, and CuA1 from below the angle of the distally narrowed discal cell. Diagnostic characters in the male genitalia are the absence of a costal process; a divided uncus with two long, widely separate ovate lobes with a sclerotized hook on outer corner; small projecting socii; an ovate cucullus with a deep semicircular depression beyond the spiniform seta on the mediobasal area of the cucullus; and ventral margin of cucullus with a row of five curved spiniform setae. The female genitalia are characterized by the sterigma in a deep excavation of sternum VII, with two parallel longitudinal spinulose ridges; the absence of a colliculum; a dorsally expanded posterior part of corpus bursae; and two unequal, triangular to thorn-shaped signa, one very small.

Kasetsartra fasciaura, sp. nov.

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the golden (= aura) transverse band (= fascia) of the forewing. 

Distribution: The species is known only from central Thailand, collected in dry dipterocarp forest of the Khao Yai National Park, with Dipterocarpus obtusifolius as the dominant tree.

การค้นพบผีเสื้อกลางคืนสกุลใหม่และชนิดใหม่ของโลก

"สกุลผีเสื้อกลางคืนเกษตรศาสตร์ (genus Kasetsartra)" เป็นผีเสื้อกลางคืนสกุลใหม่ของโลก ได้รับการตีพิมพ์เผยแพร่ในวารสาร ZOOTAXA 4532(1): 95-103 ในวันที่ 17 ธันวาคม 2561 โดยตั้งชื่อสกุลเพื่อให้เกียรติกับมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ผีเสื้อสกุลใหม่ของโลกนี้มีการแพร่กระจายเฉพาะในป่าเต็งรังของอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาใหญ่ ซึ่งเป็นผลจากการวิจัยของ รศ.ดร.นันทศักดิ์ ปิ่นแก้ว ในโครงการศึกษาความหลากหลายของผีเสื้อหนอนม้วนใบในอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาใหญ่ในปี พ.ศ. 2553 โดยตัวอย่างต้นแบบ (Holotype) ได้เก็บรักษาไว้ที่ห้องพิพิธภัณฑ์แมลงสุธรรม อารีกุล ภาควิชากีฏวิทยา คณะเกษตร กำแพงแสน มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกำแพงแสน จังหวัดนครปฐม

   


ผีเสื้อสกุลใหม่นี้เป็นผีเสื้อกลางคืนขนาดเล็ก จัดอยู่ในวงศ์ผีเสื้อหนอนม้วนใบ (Family Tortricidae) วงศ์ย่อย Olethreutinae เผ่า Enarmoniini ปีกแผ่กว้างเพียง 1.3 - 1.5 เซนติเมตร ปีกคู่หน้ามีพื้นปีกสีเหลืองปนน้ำตาลอ่อน และมีแถบสีเหลืองทองสะท้อนแสงพาดตามขวางปีกจำนวน 3 แถบ ขอบปีกด้านบนมีขีดเล็กๆ สีน้ำตาลอ่อนจำนวนมากเรียงกันเป็นระเบียบ ปีกคู่หลังมีสีขาว บริเวณมุมปลายปีกเป็นสีเหลืองอ่อน เพศผู้และเพศเมียมีลักษณะคล้ายคลึงกันมาก จะแตกต่างกันที่ลักษณะของอวัยวะสืบพันธุ์ ในงานวิจัยนี้ยังมีการรายงานผีเสื้อชนิดใหม่ของโลกในสกุล Kasetsartra จำนวน 1 ชนิด คือ Kasetsartra fasciaura โดยเฉพาะชื่อชนิด fasciaura นั้นมาจากรากศัพท์ภาษาละติน 2 คำคือ fascia แปลว่า "แถบ" และ aura แปลว่า "สีทอง" ซึ่งเป็นลักษณะเด่นของแถบสีทองสะท้อนแสงที่ปรากฏในปีกคู่หน้าจำนวน 3 แถบนั่นเอง

Abstract

Four new species of Loboschiza Diakonoff collected from the Nakhon Ratchasima, Chanthaburi, Nakhon Nayok, Sa Kaeo, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Nakhon Pathom provinces of Thailand are described: Loboschiza spiniforma Anan and Pinkaew, n. sp.; Loboschiza bisulca Anan and Pinkaew, n. sp.; Loboschiza subrectangula Anan and Pinkaew, n. sp.; and Loboschiza lunata Anan and Pinkaew, n. sp. Loboschiza koenigiana (Fabricius) is redescribed. Illustrations of adults and genitalia are provided.

Abstract

Two new species of Loboschiza are described and illustrated: Loboschiza cambodiensis n. sp., from Cambodia and Loboschiza flavobasis n. sp., from Vietnam. The two new species bring the number of described species in the genus to 19.

Abstract

A new enarmoniine genus, Sirindhornia, n. gen., is described based on the type species, Sirindhornia pulchella, n. sp., and three additional new species: Sirindhornia chaipattana, n. sp., Sirindhornia curvicosta, n. sp., and Sirindhornia bifida, n. sp., all from Thailand. A fifth species represented only by a single female is morphologically characterized but not formally described. Sirindhornia is most closely related to Anthozela Meyrick and Irianassa Meyrick but is easily distinguished by unique appendages of the tegumen and a conspicuous henion in the male genitalia.

สกุลผีเสื้อกลางคืนสิรินธร (Sirindhornia) เป็นชื่อผีเสื้อกลางคืนสกุลใหม่ของโลกที่ได้รับพระราชทานพระนามจากสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารีในวันที่ 30 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2557 ผีเสื้อสกุลใหม่นี้เป็นผีเสื้อกลางคืนขนาดเล็ก จัดอยู่ในวงศ์ Tortricidae (วงศ์ผีเสื้อหนอนม้วนใบ) วงศ์ย่อย Olethreutinae เผ่า Enarmoniini ตัวอย่างของผีเสื้อในสกุล Sirindhornia นี้ได้จากการสำรวจผีเสื้อกลางคืนโดยใช้กับดักแสงไฟใน 3 พื้นที่ คือ 

1.ป่าดิบชื้นของอุทยานแห่งชาติเขานัน จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช ในปี พ.ศ. 2550 

2. พื้นที่สวนยางพาราเก่าอายุมากกว่า 50 ปี ที่ฟื้นสภาพเป็นป่าธรรมชาติในโครงการพัฒนาป่าชุมชนบ้านอ่างเอ็ด (มูลนิธิชัยพัฒนา) อำเภอขลุง จังหวัดจันทบุรี ในปี พ.ศ. 2554 และ 

3.จากพื้นที่ป่าดิบชื้นในสถานีวิจัยและฝึกอบรมวนเกษตรตราด จังหวัดตราด ในปี พ.ศ. 2555 

ผีเสื้อในสกุล Sirindhornia ค้นพบโดย ผศ.ดร.นันทศักดิ์ ปิ่นแก้วและทีมงานจากภาควิชากีฏวิทยา คณะเกษตร กำแพงแสน มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์วิทยาเขตกำแพงแสน มีการค้นคว้าข้อมูลเพื่อเปรียบเทียบตัวอย่างรวมทั้งส่งไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญในต่างประเทศตรวจสอบลักษณะต่างๆ และได้รับการยืนยันว่าเป็นผีเสื้อหนอนม้วนใบสกุลใหม่ของโลก 

ผีเสื้อในสกุล Sirindhornia มีลักษณะโดดเด่นที่สีสันและลวดลายของปีกคู่หน้าที่มีโคนปีกสีขาวและปลายปีกสีแดง มีจุดแต้มและลวดลายบนปีกสีดำ รวมทั้งปีกคู่หลังมีแต้มสีเหลืองบริเวณกึ่งกลางปีก ลักษณะรูปร่างของรยางค์ปากที่เรียวยาวและตั้งขึ้นด้านบน รวมทั้งรูปร่างของอวัยวะสืบพันธุ์เพศผู้ที่ส่วนของ socii และ gnathos มีลักษณะเด่นและแตกต่างจากผีเสื้อสกุลอื่นๆ ที่อยู่ในเผ่า Enarmoniini อย่างชัดเจน 

ผีเสื้อสกุล Sirindhornia มีการรายงานชนิดใหม่ของโลก 4 ชนิดด้วยกัน คือ Sirindhornia pulchella จากอุทยานแห่งชาติเขานัน Sirindhornia chaipattana และ Sirindhornia curvicosta จาก โครงการพัฒนาป่าชุมชนบ้านอ่างเอ็ด และ Sirindhornia bifida จากสถานีวิจัยและฝึกอบรมวนเกษตรตราด จากพื้นที่ที่ค้นพบผีเสื้อในสกุลนี้จะเห็นได้ว่ามีความสัมพันธ์ กับพื้นที่ที่มีสภาพเป็นป่าธรรมชาติ รวมถึงพื้นที่ที่มีการฟื้นฟูโครงสร้างและองค์ประกอบของพรรณไม้คล้ายสภาพป่าในธรรมชาติจึงอาจกล่าวได้ว่าผีเสื้อในสกุลนี้เป็นชนิดพันธุ์ที่สามารถบ่งชี้ถึงความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของพื้นที่ได้ 

พบ “ผีเสื้อกลางคืนสิรินธร” ผีเสื้อสกุลใหม่ในป่าชุมชน

Abstract

Two new species of the tribe Enarmoniini (Tortricidae) are described from the Chanthaburi and Trat provinces of eastern Thailand: Helictophanes flava Muadsub and Pinkaew, n. sp., and Cyphophanes khitchakutensis Muadsub and Pinkaew, n. sp. Illustrations of adults and genitalia are provided.
